Engineering Department

The objectives of the department in the Hospital is to see that all damaged or faulty equipment are made functional and assist the management by making sure that Electricity and Water supply is regular without interruption, also the services of Transportation within and outside the town hitch free and to advice and assist the management on matters related with Technical and Engineering in the hospital.

Post Graduate Health Research Institute

The Postgraduate Health Research Institute, Sagamu represents a major commitment in an interdisciplinary to bridge the basic sciences and clinical practice and be a place for training graduate student scientists/physicians continue to serve the health needs of the state and the nation. It is a joint institution of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye and Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu.

Internal Audit Department

The department was established by the Board of Management as part of its control activity at the inception of this Teaching Hospital. It came into existence to assist the Board of Management in safe guarding its assets and ensuring accuracy and existence of its liabilities. The Department is responsible to the Board of Management through the Chief Medical Director /Chief Executive Officer.

Medical Social Services

The Department of Medical Social Services was established in September 1990 with the employment of a medical social worker. It is mainly concerned with patients' welfare in the hospital and outside the hospital. The most significant pre occupation of the department relates to helping the patient to recognise and overcome personal and emotional difficulties associated with his/her illness or assisting him/her in making effective use of medical services available.

Security Unit

The security Department of Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital started in 1987 at the commencement of the teaching hospital Then, the Security Department was operated by guard (Gateman),ie there were no record of their operations in the past. After ten (10) years Captain Ogunsola Femi (Rtd) was employed as the Head of Department. Hehowever, led the department for another ten (10) years. It was this period that the teaching Hospital employed and trained Security Officers of which some were ex-service men and Para-military.

The information communication and corporate services Department (IC &CSD) performs the overall function of implementing publicrelations activities and manages an effective system of communication which support the hospital’s goal and objectives for internal and external communication to the public. The department reports directly to the Chief Medical Director and is divided into three basic unit: Protocol and Passage, Media and Publicity Unit, and Marketing Unit.
